3.1 Session storage (sessionStorage)
The Website uses the browser’s sessionStorage solely for a technical purpose: to remember, during the session, that the welcome animation has already been shown (the abadal_seen flag) so that it is not repeated. This information is not transmitted to third parties and is automatically deleted when the tab or browser is closed. The visit-origin parameters (UTM and referring URL) are read from the page address only in order to, where applicable, accompany a form that the user voluntarily chooses to submit; they are not stored in the browser.
3.2 Third-party cookies located outside the EEA
The use of these services involves international transfers of personal data to the United States. The level of protection is safeguarded as follows, by provider:
- Google LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc., Microsoft Corporation and HubSpot, Inc. are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, recognised by the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 as providing an adequate level of data protection. Transfers to these entities rely on that adequacy decision (and, additionally, on Standard Contractual Clauses).
- TikTok / ByteDance Ltd. and CARTO, Inc. (together with the OpenStreetMap international contributor community), which are not covered by the Data Privacy Framework, rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission pursuant to EU Decision 2021/914, supplemented where appropriate by additional safeguards.
The Website’s typography is served self-hosted from our own servers, with no third-party font requests.
3.3 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the operation of the Website and cannot be disabled in our systems. They enable session management, protection against fraudulent use and the storage of privacy preferences.
3.4 Analytics and performance cookies
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) collects aggregated information about how visitors use the Website — pages visited, time on site and interaction events — enabling us to improve content and performance. Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk, MUID, CLID) provides session recording and heatmap capabilities to understand usability issues. Both services are loaded exclusively through Google Tag Manager and only after the user has granted analytics consent.
3.5 Functional cookies
These allow user preferences (language, regional settings) to be remembered in order to offer a personalised experience. The interactive dealer network map (CARTO / OpenStreetMap) is loaded on demand: it is not rendered until the user explicitly activates it by clicking the map area.
3.6 Marketing cookies
Google Ads (_gcl_*, IDE), Meta/Facebook Pixel (_fbp), TikTok Pixel (_ttp) and HubSpot (hubspotutk) are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, enable conversion tracking and support audience targeting and remarketing. These cookies are loaded exclusively through Google Tag Manager and only after the user has granted marketing consent.
4. Legal Basis for the Use of Cookies
Technical or strictly necessary cookies are installed on the basis of the legitimate interest of ABADAL AUTOMOVILES, S.A. in ensuring the proper functioning of the Website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Analytical cookies (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity), marketing cookies (Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, HubSpot) and functional third-party cookies (CARTO / OpenStreetMap map) will only be activated when the user has granted their prior, specific and informed consent through the cookie settings panel (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
5. Consent Management
When accessing the Website, the user can:
- Accept all cookies.
- Reject non-essential cookies.
- Configure their preferences by category.
Consent on this Website is managed by an in-house system built on Google Consent Mode v2. All non-essential cookie categories — analytics, marketing and personalisation — are set to DENIED by default when a visitor first arrives. No tracking scripts are activated until the user explicitly accepts the relevant category through the consent banner.
The user may review, modify or withdraw their consent at any time by clicking the floating cookie button visible at the bottom of every page, or by using the “Cookie preferences” link in the website footer. Withdrawing consent is as straightforward as granting it and takes effect immediately.
Preferences can be modified at any time through the Cookie Settings Centre available on the Website.
6. Cookie Storage
Cookies may remain active for different periods of time:
- Session cookies: These are deleted when the browser is closed.
- Persistent cookies: These remain stored for the time defined for each purpose or until deleted by the user.
7. How to Disable or Delete Cookies
Users can configure their browser to allow, block, or delete cookies installed on their device.
Disabling certain cookies may affect the proper functioning of some features of the Website.
8. Personal Data Protection
When cookies allow the identification or identifiability of a natural person, the processing of data will be carried out in accordance with ABADAL AUTOMOVILES, S.A. Privacy Policy and current data protection regulations.
9. Cookie Policy Changes
ABADAL may update this Cookie Policy when necessary due to regulatory, technical, or functional changes.
The current version will always be the one published on the Website.
